Social Worker, Psychotherapist, Counsellor (Tele and Video-Counselling)

National (any location), Canada

Summary:


Reporting to the Clinical Supervisor, the tele/video-counsellor will be providing counselling services through phone and video to LifeWorks' Employee Assistance Program (EAP) clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide shortterm tele and videocounselling to individuals dealing with various personal issues;
  • Evaluate client needs and work with them to set objectives and develop a strategy to achieve them, within the terms and conditions of the client's EAP;
  • Manage the administrative requirements as dictated by LifeWorks' clinical models.

Required core qualifications and skills:

  • Master's Degree in a Counselling related field;
  • Professional College membership or registration with a mental health Association with valid professional liability insurance;
  • Minimum five (5) years postgraduate counselling experience is required;
  • Ability to set short term objectives and use a solution focused approach;
  • Ability to clinically manage highrisk cases, including clients who are a threat to self or others;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Comfort using videoconference platform.
Where permitted by law, LifeWorks employees must be fully immunized to access a LifeWorks office or customer premises.
