Claridge Homes is looking for a full-time Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting Team.

The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in key accounting functions, support financial reporting,

and ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting

knowledge, experience in construction or project-based environments, and ability to effectively

collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in treasury management and cash flow requirements
  • Reconcile inter-company transactions and balances
  • Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual HST Returns
  • Work with Project Monitor to produce timely cost-to-date reports for project financing
  • Prepare and analyze WIP Reports and Job Cost Analysis Reports
  • Continually assess gross profit margins by project as well as portfolio
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Liaise with external auditors, provide necessary documentation to complete reviews and compilations
  • Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required

Experience and Skills:

  • University degree or college diploma in Accounting or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a construction environment
  • CPA or working towards CPA would be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel. Experience with an integrated ERP solution would be an asset
  • High level attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to learn quickly
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team
