    This role is base in Quebec and requires relocating to Montreal, QC.
    SGS offers a relocation allowance.
    Provide technical guidance and training for inspectors. Conduct laboratory analysis, grading, and review of data in accordance to the CGC guide.
    Competent in performing all responsibilities of a Grain Inspector and a Grader Level 2.

    Grain Inspector Level 1:
    Monitor all equipment according to desired standards before performing the analysis

    Assist in performing analyses such as moisture, protein, dockage, test weight, mycotoxins, germination tests, gluten test, falling number test, etc.

    Analysis of miscellaneous other branch specific laboratory analyses (malt barley variety identification, audits, etc.)
    Maintaining/monitoring of basic laboratory supplies (gloves, dust masks, filter papers etc.).
    Issuing initial and final grading reports related to food, container, industrial, etc. Government Inspection Services, GIS).
    Assist in preparing on-site final analysis reports (i.e.

    , Grain Grader Level 2:

    Conduct off-site grading/sampling duties and ad hoc projects

    Working with his/her supervisors or senior staff to solve day-to-day production and process problems, providing technical and operational guidance to other junior grading staff.

    Review of analytical data. Reporting on-site inspections and/or grading results. Conduct total grain inventory audits of weight and grade.
    Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
    Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
    Possess and maintains a valid driver's license.
    Ensures full compliance with the company's Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
    Over 5 years of experience as a Grain Grader Level 2
    Previous experience in performing preliminary grain inspections and grain grading would be an asset.
    Bilingual communication skills (French and English) preferred.
    Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
    Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
    Possess and maintains a valid driver's license.
    Ensures full compliance with the company's Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
