General Accountabilities:
In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships across the lines of business at Hydro One, deepen your understanding of Ontario's regulatory environment and contribute to the energy transition, including through:
- Monitoring and analyzing regulatory policy developments in Ontario
- Conducting research and analysis, including jurisdictional scans
- Preparing reports, correspondence, presentations, and briefing materials as assigned
- Supporting consultations to solicit input and developing strategies in support of Hydro One's corporate initiatives
- Supporting development and coordination of tools, materials, and processes needed for policy development and/or stakeholder management activities
- Currently in the 3rd year of a Bachelor's degree program in engineering, business, finance, accounting, computer science, or related field
- Demonstrated interest in public policy, regulatory law, energy/electricity or another highlyrelated field is preferred.
- Exceptional research, analysis, and critical thinking skills to reach wellgrounded, independent conclusions and influence outcomes.
- Ability to quickly understand and accurately synthetize information from diverse sources
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office
- Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint),
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to cultivate, develop and maintain productive working relationships with diverse groups
- Demonstrates:
- Leadership, reliability, judgment, and sound business ethics
- Client-Service Orientation, desire to help or serve others / meet their needs
- Demonstrated initiative; strong passion and desire to succeed
- Able to persuade, convince, influence or impress others
- A strong passion for the Electricity industry and energy transition and a desire to be part of the myriad changes occurring within it (new technology, regulation, government goals, etc.)
