Wood's Homes is searching for one (1) temporary full-time Clinician to join Therapeutic Campus Based Care. This is a temporary term will be from July 17, Semptember 15, 2024.

Wood's Homes Therapeutic Campus-Based Care Services (TCBC) provide a trauma-informed therapeutic milieu for clients ages 6-17.

Launched in July 2018, TCBC aims to support optimal developmental outcomes and reintegration of young people within their family, a community family setting or a less-restrictive care environment.


Role Summary:


Reporting to the Program Manager, the Clinician is responsible for the development and provision of quality clinical services to the clients and programs of Wood's Homes.

The Clinician will demonstrate due diligence in being exceptional in the delivery of high-quality services and in meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety Management System at Wood's Homes.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides direct treatment services to a caseload of children, youth and families in the form of family, individual and group intervention and therapy.
  • Performs assessments of clients as assigned. Provides a written report of the assessment following case management guidelines.
  • Completes written and timely records of ongoing clinical work following case management and professional guidelines.
  • Provides clinical consultation to Wood's Homes programs as assigned and enhances clinical skill and knowledge.
  • Provides staff training, practicum student training, and clinical training to community professionals, as requested.
  • Actively communicates with community resources regarding Wood's Homes clientele and programs.
  • Participates in research and other specialized projects, as assigned.
  • Reports workplace hazards, unsafe or unhealthy conditions, or incidents (including near misses, injuries, or equipment damage) to their direct supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Masters or Ph.
D. Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Family Nursing, Art Therapy, or a related field.

  • Is licensed in accordance with the Health Professions Act and provides services in accordance with professional standards, guidelines, and ethics.
  • Current proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
  • Able to complete written documentation within established time frames.
  • Must have own transportation.
  • Personal suitability.
