About the Opportunity


We are a dynamic group of over 25 dedicated research staff working closely with our Hematologists to bring the best of treatments to our patients.

We also conduct our own Health Canada regulated, randomized, controlled trials where we take on the role of sponsor.

We are presently looking to fill a Research Associate position in Hematology Research to work under the direction of the Project Manager/Associate Director, Hematology Research for the EPCATIII study.

We are the study sponsor and have 17 participating hospitals across Canada.


This position entails the following:


  • Confers with the Lead Investigator-Sponsor or Project Manager on project/study progress, compliance and interpretation
  • Maintains, stores and retrieves study documentation
  • Assists in orienting new Research staff as required
  • Assists in report composition
  • Plans, develops and coordinates projects in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Prepares documents for the submission to the REB for study/project approval and closure
  • Participates in submission of grants to funding agencies
  • Liaises with programmers on production of required data sets
  • Conducts systematic reviews of the literature
  • Other related duties as required

About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a health sciences or social sciences discipline (e.g. epidemiology, community/public health, biostatistics or health economics)
  • CCRP or other research designation
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Minimum of two years research experience
  • Strong demonstrated working knowledge of ICH-GCP and Health Canada regulations, preferred
  • Previous experience running Health Canada regulated investigator driven research, preferred
  • Familiarity with health records
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and teaching skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Effective research and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and rapportbuilding skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment

    Compensation and Benefits:
$ $34.53 hourly
