Position Description:


We are looking for a summer student to join the Operating Room at the Hospital for Sick Children As a summer student, you will be assisting the leadership and administrative staff to help digitize the current paper files, in preparation for the transition to a paper-light environment.


Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Prepare and Scan program documents/patient records
  • Verify and upload program documents /patient records while maintaining quality assurance on the images scanned
  • Coordinate the management of documents according to established policies and guidelines
  • Assist with the destruction and purging of program documents
  • Verify reports are digitized correctly prior to purging
  • Track what is being purged daily.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Here's What You'll Need

  • Current Postsecondary student
  • Basic proficiency with computers (i.e. MS Office Suite, Outlook, MS Word)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities and efficient time management
  • Ability to be selfdirected, to be flexible and to take initiative
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry
  • Positive outlook and great team player
  • A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion

Employment Type:
Temporary Full-Time, No Benefits (8 Week Contract)
