Position Summary:

  • Monday to Friday, 40 hrs./week
  • Some travel throughout Edmonton are will be required

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the supervision, coordination, and administration of safety on project site(s).
  • Responsible for carrying out inspections and audits of the workplace.
  • Proactively promote our safety culture through toolbox meetings, and safety awareness.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations; and be an effective negotiator, that uses logic and reason to persuade and influence others to find the solutions that everyone will accept.

Requirements:


  • NCSO or CRST Professional Certification required.
  • OHS Certification would be an asset but not required.
  • 2 to 3 years experience in a field safetyrelated discipline.
  • Heavy industrial operations experience is an asset.
  • A proven track record in participation of safety management processes e.g. safety committees and working groups and heavy industrial auditing and inspection experience.
  • You are an excellent planner, organizer, with refined interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated computer competency with Microsoft Office software.
