Impact organization training and development needs while working as the Learning & Development
Specialist at Travel Corporation Canada.

We are looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our People & Culture Team.
This key role supports team members in the North America Travel Corporation's family of brands.


HOW YOU'LL WORK
Analyze organizational training needs. Design and conduct work-related training and development programs to improve individual skills and organizational performance.

  • Identifying the training needs of individuals and teams
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with team members, focus groups, and consults with managers
  • Develop & design training programs and courses
  • Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as inperson or virtual, to optimize training effectiveness
  • Schedule, coordinate recruitment and placement of training program participants
  • Present trainings in a variety of instructional techniques or formats, i.e., Livevirtual, class style setting, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures
  • Develop training guides, or course materials (PowerPoint, MS Word, Articulate and Powtoon)

RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • Knowledge of Adult learning principles, instructional design and facilitation of instructorled programs
  • Experience in working with Learning Management Systems
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills
  • Confident and competent public speaker
  • Experience in assessing performance gaps, analyzing learning needs, designing and developing learnercentric solutions, and evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs
  • Selfstarter who is capable of multitasking
