Responsibilities:

- provide prenatal clinic care one day a week, staffed with an obstetrical nurse
- provide inpatient coverage at CRHCC
- participate in perinatal care, outpatient visits, and follow-up visits
- provide neonatal care (with the intention to limit deliveries to 36 weeks and no GA) and neonatal resuscitation
- cover low-risk deliveries perform cesarean surgical assists


Expected Hours:

- full-time, part-time, and locums
- coverage of own inpatients during the week, with general sign-out to others on the weekends


Qualifications:

- all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- current Advances in Labour and Risk Management (ALARM)
