The
Shop Janitor is responsible in maintaining the cleanliness of the production floor to ensure the workplace is presentable and safe at all times.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintain cleanliness within the production and nonproductions areas of the facility; including, but not limited to the production floor, lunchroom, office, changeroom, bathrooms, etc
  • Ensure all washroom supplies are fully stocked and place order as needed
  • Sweep and mop floors, prioritize immediate needs, such as spills, to ensure safety and comfort of staff and visitors
  • Reports any issues to the supervisor
  • Undertake minor repairs, with approval issued by supervisor
  • Monitor and report inventory reorders for First Aid stations
  • Removes trash and recycling
  • Assists in maintaining order of inventory in shop stockroom
  • Uses common cleaning tools, follows appropriate cleaning processes

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior janitorial experience in an industrial setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with cleaning supplies and techniques
  • Able to perform basic maintenance and repairs
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Works well independently and has strong time management skills
  • Follows written and verbal instructions from supervisor
  • Effective communication skills

Salary:
From $20.00 per hour
