    Job Description:

    This position assists the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist with direct patient care activities such as implementing exercise programs, facilitating activities of daily living and mobilizing patients as assigned in providing care to the neurosurgery population. They are also responsible for coordinating unit and profession specific functions such as coordination of equipment, and some administrative responsibilities, and other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    · Diploma for both Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist Assistant from a recognized provincial college required.

    · Reliable and self-directed, with good critical thinking, judgment and problem-solving skills.

    · Demonstrated effectiveness working independently as well as liaising with the interprofessional team.

    · Excellent organizational skills required.

    · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    · Must be able to work weekends.

    · Satisfactory attendance and performance required.

    · Experience working in a Neurosurgery setting is an asset.
