    CEDA is currently looking for a Leak Seal Junior Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray They will work in our highly skilled and continually expanding area of Leak Repair. This hourly position is located in Edmonton and may require travel to various locations.

    This job is right for you if you're mechanically inclined, enthusiastic about learning a new trade and not afraid to work in tough work environments.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Start your apprenticeship learning new skills every day such as:
      • Seal leaks and repair piping systems and vessels
      • Corrosion protection repair
      • Line freeze
      • Hot tap
      • Control bolt
      • Test and pipe isolations
      • Cold cutting
    • Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labour intensive capacity
    • Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your back
    • Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done.
    • Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs

    Role Specifications

    • 0-2 years' experience with a trade such as millwright, welder, pipefitter, carpenter
    • Familiarity of leak sealing is an asset but not required – we will train you
    • Class 5 license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years
    • Work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
    • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

    • Ability to prioritize and initiate projects
    • Effectively collaborate with a team member
    • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Demonstrate organizational and problem solving skills
    • You've always been mechanically inclined and are happiest working with your hands
    • Comfortable with using hand and pneumatic tools
    • Fitness isn't a concern, you can climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
    • You're open to any and all schedules – overtime, on call and weekend work aren't a concern, some travel is required
