Description
We are in need of an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in Mississauga.

To support the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be in charge of overseeing all the activities of the maintenance staff and overall upkeep of the production lines, other mechanical equipment throughout the facility and building requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Lead and oversee the maintenance department and associated staff.
  • Perform routine production line maintenance and repairs such as; replacement of belts, cleaning and repair of filling heads, troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Inspect the machinery equipment and manage the inspection records on a regular basis.
  • Schedule, document and perform preventive maintenance schedules and/or provides support for routine maintenance.
  • Communicated directly with equipment and parts vendors.
  • Responsible for building/facility needs such as painting, cleaning, fire/safety equipment, light bulb changes and other general facility needs.
  • Provide training for line operators and shift leads on basic maintenance tasks as well as training on machine settings and parameters.
  • Records and reports on maintenance repairs and issues as needed.
  • Document and analyze trends of scheduled and unscheduled downtime.
  • Assist with the development of written SOP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT IS NEEDED FROM YOU

  • 5+ years of mechanical experience required.
  • Must be flexible on Sunday to Fridays depending on operation needs.
  • Previous experience in staff management
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Prior forklift certification preferred, recertification or initial certification will be completed when hired.
  • Experience and knowledge of hydraulics as an asset
  • Knowledge of electricity in an industrial basis as an asset
  • Certified for working at heights preferred.
  • Knowledge of PLC SW as an asset.

Salary:
$90,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
