Upholstery Sewing Machine Operator | Concord, ON

Job Title:
Upholsterer - Concord, ON


Location:
Concord, ON


Major Intersection:
Edgeley Blvd & Four valley Dr.

Compensation:
$20/hour or above (Depending upon experience)

Timings: 07:30 AM- 04:30 PM


Shift Days:
Monday - Friday

ASAP

Job Description:


  • It's a furniture and fixtures manufacturing environment.
  • Applicant will be working in furniture upholstery
  • Lay out, cut, fabricate and install upholstery
  • Operate sewing machines or sew by hand
  • Lay out, cut, fabricate and install upholstery
  • Replace wornout webbing, springs and other furniture parts
  • Tack, glue or sew ornamental trim, braids or buttons
  • Garnish the bottom and the back of a seat with interwoven rattan/sofa

Job Requirements:

  • Must have 2+ year experience of upholstery (furniture) & operating a sewing machine.
  • Must be able to work 8 to 9 Hours.
  • Applicant must have Good Eye Sight.
  • Have good written/verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a manufacturing environment.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From $20.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Concord, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- sewing: 1 year (preferred)
