Description

A glass delivery driver for Sky Windows is responsible for delivering glass products to various locations around the Lower Mainland & Fraser Valley in a timely and safe manner.

This may include transporting large sheets of glass or smaller, packaged items.

The glass delivery driver will typically be responsible for loading and unloading the glass products onto their delivery vehicle, as well as verifying that the correct items are being delivered to the correct location.


Responsibilities:


  • Safely operate a glass truck
  • Properly load and unload delicate materials
  • Log in and out of scheduled deliveries to accurately track time
  • Report any issues or incidents to the office
  • Inspect the truck before and after each trip
  • Account for all materials delivered
  • Clean the truck after deliveries are completed
  • Make sure that the gas tank of the truck is always full before leaving the shop
  • Must check in with the office at the end of each day.

Qualifications:


  • A valid driver's license
  • At least 5 years driving experience with a clean record
  • Ability work well as a team
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly attitude
  • Ability to lift and move delicate glass sheets up to 75lbs with the help of another employee
  • Successfully pass a drug screening and criminal background check

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:


  • Glass Stock Sheet Delivery Experience
  • Knowledge of glass or experience in a construction field


To be successful in this role, a glass delivery driver should have a clean driving record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently and safely.

They should also be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks at once.

Some physical demands of this role may include lifting and carrying heavy items, as well as being able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed to load and unload the delivery vehicle.


Salary:
$21.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Surrey, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
