Day shift: 5 x 8 hour shifts; 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities may include:


  • Spend substantial amount of time in the Brakeout (brake press, laser cutting) and Fabrication areas, ensuring all required parts are available to meet production demand
  • Communicate with managers and department supervisors to learn production schedules
  • On a daily basis, monitor and requisition parts for production needs
  • Analyze and maintain existing Kanban bins and create new Kanban bins as required
  • Work towards reducing inventory to the most efficient levels possible without negatively affecting the required production flow
  • Working with Purchasing and Vendors to expedite all part shortages; working with Receiving to ensure the Fabrication departments have the parts they need in a timely manner
  • Identify potential shortages or problems and address the issue to prevent production stoppage or slowdowns
  • Implementing all ECN changes relating to quantity changes to all scanned items and creating locations for all new parts
  • Resolve all parts issues that impact Fabrication
  • Move Kanban skids safely by forklift; complete daily forklift inspections; work both in and outdoors

Skills and Experience:


  • Previous Forklift or Heavy Equipment experience an asset
  • Basic experience in reading Blueprint & Bills of Material
  • Previous experience working with parts in an industrial setting
  • Superior communication skills speaking, listening, reading, writing
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills; ability to positively
- interact with co-workers, management and external contacts

  • Robust computer skills able to work with Excel, Word; experience working in AX or other inventory management programs with the ability to learn and work with other programs as needed
  • Selfstarter; able to work independently and ensure time is managed effectively to achieve all responsibilities
  • Ability to problemsolve in a time sensitive environment; accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge in Lean initiatives for reducing inventory; focus on continuous improvement
