    Description

    Reporting to the Accountant responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Process and audit sales cashups.
  • Process supplier invoices, statements, and prepare correspondence.
  • Process and audit interdepartmental transfers.
  • Completion of gross margin calculations.
  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in budget process as required.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required.
  • Assist with the preparation of period-end and year-end financial statements.
  • Maintain patronage membership and equity ledgers.
  • Assist with maintaining petroleum records.
  • Assist in by-weekly payroll administration as required.
  • Work effectively with staff/supervisors and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • Grade XII
  • Courses Required: Introductory Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, and Intermediate Accounting II (or equivalents).
  • Completion of SIAST Accounting Certificate or equivalent would be considered an asset.
  • One year of accounting related experience. (Including data entry)
  • Extensive experience with Office specifically Outlook and Excel 1 & 2.
  • Must be able to work mornings and afternoons.
