About the Role:

Reporting to the Yard Manager, the Technician plays a key role in supporting field operations and ensuring efficient service delivery that meets and exceeds client expectations. This is a dynamic, hands-on position that involves supporting multiple crews, operating equipment, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support sweeping and asphalt crews with daily site preparation and operational tasks
  • Assist with snow removal, anti-icing, and other winter maintenance activities
  • Perform asphalt patching, pothole repairs, crack sealing, and surface preparation
  • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections
  • Maintain job sites in a safe, organized, and compliant manner
  • Perform general labour duties to support daily operations
  • Operate, transport, and inspect equipment
  • Transport materials, equipment, and products as required
  • Perform basic repair and maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Provide oversight and coordination of local contractors when required

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Heavy trailer endorsement (asset)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional and respectful when working with colleagues and clients
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to workplace safety
