Reason for being
The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing issues in order to propose solutions or corrections adapted to current and anticipated needs for flight operations.
Finally, he/she will also have to conduct a strategic watch of the business domain, in order to identify best practices as well as business solution opportunities that bring more value to the organization.
Responsabilities
- Work with internal departments to identify, analyze and prioritize business requirements;
- Develop business cases and recommend solutions that align with the organization's needs;
- Act as an advisor and expert on all information systems issues related to his/her area of expertise;
- Ensure that the solutions proposed by the suppliers are in line with the business requirements;
- Actively participate in global architecture review meetings when starting new projects;
- Produce and maintain the systems integration architecture for the business area;
- Occasionally act as a project manager or project director to ensure the coordination of files and all activities in the absence of a project manager;
- Support and train the team's Systems Analysts to ensure proper support of systems used by the business units;
- Act as an expert advisor to the ISD support teams in the analysis and investigation of complex problems and in providing answers to all user questions;
- Validate the UATs developed by the business teams to ensure that all requirements are covered, including complex cases.
Qualifications:
- University degree in computer science (Bachelor's level) or equivalent;
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience in computer science, including at least three (3) years in a computer analyst or similar role;
- Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills, demonstrated ability to synthesize and experience in designing and improving complex processes;
- Good communication skills, ability to express ideas persuasively;
- Ability to work on multiple files at the same time, under tight deadlines;
- Interest and aptitude for complex and creative problem solving;
- Team player and collaborative;
- Mastery of MS-Office tools.
- Knowledge of the airline industry is an asset;
- Bilingualism: Fluency in French and English, spoken and written
