What you will do:

Provide safety leadership, ensure compliance with all safety and workplace rules
Provide guidance and coaching to front line supervisors and have a consistent field presence
Manage the activities of the Maintenance Team in a safe and efficient manner to achieve established production and maintenance goals within approved budgets, company guidelines and legal requirements
Monitor employee performance and address noncompliance
Collaborate with the Mine Maintenance Team to make diligent and reliable maintenance plans
Collaborate and Coordinate work with Production, Capital, and Engineering
Initiate changes to maintenance procedures and conditions as needed
Perform needed compliance checks, key procedure audits, and area inspections
Investigate nonroutine and recurring downtime issues to ensure that appropriate remedial actions are taken
Ensure compliance with all Corporate and Divisional goals related to performance metrics, safety systems, and operational excellence
Actively administer labour relations by establishing union leadership relationships
Contribute to developing our Culture of Care

What you will bring:

An underground supervisor certificate or the eligibility (
3 years of underground experience) to obtain one following the Saskatchewan Mining regulations required
5+ years supervisory experience required
G12 or equivalent required
5+ years experience in an underground mine maintenance environment strongly preferred
Trades educational background/Technical diploma/Engineering disciplines combined with industrial maintenance work considered a strong asset
Mine Rescue certifications, involvement in O.H. & S, and experience in Exposure Based Safety programs would be an asset
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Proven leadership qualities coupled with the ability to engage and inspire, coach and mentor others
Computer proficiency
Good written and oral communication skill
Excellent organizational skills
