Responsibilities:

Safely and skillfully operate a loader to move sand, dirt, gravel, concrete, and asphalt.
Safely and skillfully use various attachments such as buckets, breakers, hoe packs, etc.
Perform smaller jobs requiring tight maneuvering such as digging around manholes, pipes, valves, etc., etc., but must be able to complete larger jobs as well.
Safely drive the loader on city streets in order to get from site to site.
Perform daily equipment inspections, maintenance, and keep all machines clean and in good working orderinside and out.
Complete regular walk around inspections and log Field Level Hazard Assessments.
Work in a team environment with safety being your number one goal.
Complete training and/or site orientations when required.
Complete any other duties as required.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments.
Be willing to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary (812 hour shifts; 56 days a week).
Must have a strong work ethic and an ability to work in a team setting.
Encompassing good communication skills for the ability to communicate with supervisors, coworkers, the general public, etc. in a courteous, and professional manner at all times.
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

2 years of loader experience is required.
Be able to comfortably and safely perform all loader tasks without incidents, accidents, or causing damages.
2 years of experience in the water and sewer division is required.
Must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle to travel to and from the worksite.
