Job Description:


  • The Portfolio Systems Analyst (PSA) will work within a matrix to support the daytoday functions and activities of the Croesus portfolio management system. They will work with the team Supervisor to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department. The incumbent will work in conjunction with the Croesus Project team under the Senior Manager and will assist with documentation and procedures as required.

The PSA Team supports the Croesus portfolio management system that is used by Wood Gundy Investment Advisors, branch staff, and ISI.

The role is to provide assistance, guidance and knowledge to resolve difficult and complex problems

What You'll Be Doing

  • How You'll Succeed

  • Investigate and Resolve Client Issues
  • Provide guidance and assistance to the team towards the resolution of difficult and complex problems. Identify problems, extract information and perform detailed analysis. Assist with any issues or situations requiring intervention by either the business and/or technology division and ensure issues are tracked and managed until resolved.


  • Administration Support

  • Prepare and maintain documentation on procedures/processes for the PSA manual. Review and provide statistical reporting to the Supervisor. Develop and maintain communication opportunities with other Operations departments to assure data is accurate (e.g. BFS, CID, Reorganization, RRSP, Entitlements, ICS, Training and Development etc). Monitor and develop methods to improve and enhance SLA measurements. Identify, correct issues related to Broadridge data, resolve portfolio management issues and assist the Supervisor with capacity planning.


  • Who You Are

  • You have a postsecondary degree/diploma in business and/or information technology systems (or equivalent work experience).
  • You are a certified professional. Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or experience in the Brokerage industry.
  • You have knowledge of CIBC WG branch structure.
  • You have advanced computer skills with an excellent working knowledge of Excel.
  • You have knowledge of financial markets including Stock, Option, Fixed Income and Mutual Funds.
  • You have working knowledge of financial product concepts and calculations (bond amortization, accrued income, expected income, yields).
  • It's an asset if: you are bilingual in French and English.
