    About The Role

    HUB Ontario International is looking for a dynamic Chief Marketing Officer based out of Toronto. This role is accountable for strategy, execution and HUB's insurer relationships regionally with the goal of maximizing effectiveness of our partnerships. The ideal candidate has a strong network of insurers, financial insurance acumen, strong people leadership and underwriting knowledge. This role reports to the President and will work closely with the CEO and Executive Management Team, Sales Leaders, National CMO and Operational Leaders.

    The Chief Marketing Officer will oversee management of our local HUB's insurer relationships including, establishing, improving and maintaining insurance company relationships, enhancing and maximizing growth and profitability with our carriers, overall responsibility for ensuring that we are on track to hit our goals with respect to remuneration and best in class product offerings for our clients.

    What You'll Do

  • Establishing, monitoring, and improving general communications to support effective HUB Strategic Partnership Strategy with our insurers to maximize sales growth and client retention
  • Accountable for annual forecasting, planning and reporting for overall achievement of the budget
  • Ownership and Leadership of the Contingent Profit Agreements including negotiating regional override agreements and achieving budget
  • Proactively managing, developing and promoting the benefits of the preferred carrier relationships with producers providing them with additional support during the selling process and conduct quarterly reviews with preferred carriers, to maintain and develop high-level relationships; and to ensure mutual attainment of business targets and delivery of added value
  • Coordinating and managing strategic plan execution and action items from project initiation to management
  • Collaborating with LOBs and account team Leaders to develop and provide new leading edge products and programs for HUB clients.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the placement of larger Commercial Lines business (New Business and Renewals, i.e. Top 200, etc.)
  • Actively participates in both the business and industry communities to build a network of contacts that promote the presence and reputation of the organization
  • Assessing industry trends and target markets to develop marketing strategies focused on growth and retention
  • What You'll Need for Success

  • Post-Secondary Education or commensurate work experience;
  • RIBO Licensed or in progress
  • Industry designation preferred: CAIB, CIP, FCIP, CRM Designations
  • 10 years of commercial insurance brokerage experience preferred
  • 7 years in a senior management position
  • Established network of insurer relationships
  • Strong financial acumen and analysis experience
  • Experience on EPIC or similar insurance broker management systems.
  • Strong strategic, financial and operational experience
  • Technical insurance contract review experience required
  • Effective presentation, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Travel required – regional and national
