What you will do:


The Project Coordinator, Work-Integrated Learning is responsible for researching, developing and executing unique experiential learning (EL) opportunities, creating new Work-Integrated learning (WIL) programs and applied projects for all programs in the FSCS while promoting engagement and measuring success.


Under the general direction of the Manager, Work Integrated Learning, the Project Coordinator, Work-Integrated Learning is accountable for managing student activities and employer events such as capstone events, hackathons, networking, co-curricular activities, recruitment events and career fairs.

They will source seed funding for experiential learning (EL) opportunities and support faculty with the development of applied classroom-based projects by connecting to industry.

They will oversee the Work-Integrated Learning website for the FSCS and create social media content specific to the WIL Center.

They will be responsible for the oversight of the online job board and online documentation platform.

Additionally, they will be responsible for training new WIL Centre employees and engaging staff in ongoing development with regards to systems and departmental processes.


What you bring to the role:


Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required (Marketing, Project Management, Social Services)


Experience:


  • The incumbent will have a minimum of 35 years of professional experience.
  • The incumbent will have recent experience working in a fastpaced, postsecondary cooperative education, internship, or other experiential education program.
  • Experience with student professional development, knowledge of workplace standards, recruitment and hiring practices, and performance management techniques.
  • Experience in marketing and communications, managing administrative processes, coordinating projects and events, developing protocols in a process driven environment, and managing systems and records.
  • Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills as well as attention to detail and accuracy are required in addition to intermediate level computer skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills
