Nunavik and the normal work schedule is

11 hours per day on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Responsibilities
Reporting Reporting to the Utilities Supervisor, the operator will be assigned to water management

His main responsibilities are:

Perform the installation (pumps pipes piping) of the mining effluent circuit;
Monitor and maintain the mining effluent circuit;
Install and dismantle the pumping system (pumps, pipes) during the blasting operations of the open pit;
Perform installation and repair of mine discharge lines;
Perform maintenance and monitoring of pumping systems;
Any other related duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Qualifications

High school diploma;
Mine site experience;
Ability to operate a small loader, excavator, bobcat shovel and fork, wheel loader and dozer;
Knowledge of diesel pumps, submersible pumps and vertical pumps with electric turbines; Repair of these pumps is an asset;
Knowledge and experience in fusion (HDPE) and Victaulic piping.
Mechanical knowledge;
Valid class 5 driver's license.

Assets

Good knowledge of MS Office software;
Bilingualism (French and functional English).
