As a Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in building solid and thorough legal support to ensure the sustainable growth of Colas Canada Inc.

and our network of subsidiaries.

You will work with a variety of topics ranging from construction/materials, M&A, P3, insurance, litigations, and providing general advice to support the decision-making process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Legal analysis on different topics as required in order to ascertain strategies and risk exposures
Contract review and lawsuit management
Legal support to operations (industries and construction activities)
Reviewing and updating the templates of commercial agreements with a focus on bettering and ensuring consistency across the country
Reviewing and advising the business regarding the negotiation of commercial agreements
Insurances (coverage analysis and portfolio management)
Compliance analysis and implementation
Liaising with and gathering information from different groups and entities for different corporate purposes, including regulatory matters, licenses, and real estaterelated matters
Providing support and reporting to Colas Canada's General Counsel
Role involves clerical and regulatory tasks to ensure proper licenses are in place
Traveling is to be expected as well as interaction with Group Head Office in Paris

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Law degree and license to practice law in Ontario or Quebec (multiple provincial licenses is a strong asset)

_Note:
For applicants residing in Quebce, a knowledge of Common Law is required_

Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a law firm and/or inhouse
Experience with legal research and analysis of applicable laws
Experience with construction matters and exposure to P3 models an asset
Transactional and negotiation experience
Proficiency in Excel
