We are seeking:
Program Coordinator - CSP


Permanent Full-Time - 35 hours per week

What will be your role?
As an integral member of the Community Supports team, the COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM COORDINATOR will assist with the organization and implementation of CSP projects under the direction of the CSP Manager (s) or designate


The principal responsibilities include:

developing and implementing strategies to facilitate the execution of multiple, simultaneous projects in an effective manner; monitoring the progress and quality of work associated with project outcomes; developing and maintaining accurate project documentation; monitor and control project scope, budget and schedule and performing other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested, to contribute to the efficient functioning of the Community Support portfolio with close direction received from CSP Manager(s) To provide project coordination support, program data collation/tracking, and assisting with the development and execution of proposals and new opportunities.

Supports the Community Support Manager(s) to provide administrative, planning, and scheduling assistance to the Community Support Programs during absences or high-volume situations.

Participate in outreach initiatives to bring awareness to community support programs and bring exposure of community support to our partners.


To perform all intake functions:

receive, assess, and process all requests for service from potential clients and referral sources, provide referral and information regarding the criteria for service, the range of services offered and referral services to other community services.

Participates in VHA services and quality initiatives. All activities are conducted within the policies, procedures, and standards of confidentiality of VHA.

Required Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of Community Social Services and Community Health Care Administration
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience with a community nonprofit organization
years of project management/delivery experience and expertise using Excel, Outlook, and Publisher

  • Knowledge of community health/mental health sector and marginalized and diverse populations an asset
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • Experience supporting funding proposals and reports an asset
  • High degree of professionalism and ability to act as liaison with external partners
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle a high volume of community intake calls and inquiries utilizing a solution focused approach
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed for meetings etc.
  • Demonstrate efforts to continuously develop and upgrade skill
  • Experience managing multiple projects and activities and highly proficient in setting and communicating priorities and timelines
  • Demonstrated tact and discretion with respect to privileged and confidential information
  • Ability to exercise judgement and diplomacy in dealing with the varied daytoday issues
  • Great interpersonal skills and highly detail oriented
  • Motivated selfstarter who works well both independently and with a team to drive results
