Description

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare adjustments and entries in the system for all employment offers, bonus payments, increase, and other employee transactions;
  • Auditing payroll entries and maintaining payroll records;
  • Preparing and submitting journal entries, calculating and requesting manual cheques and completing forms, such as Records of Employment, Government Requests for Information, Workers Comp Returns;
  • Responding in a timely manner to payroll inquiries from employees, management and external agencies and assisting with the resolution of payroll issues;
  • Generating reports and preparing summaries;
  • Assisting with special payroll related projects, such as balancing T4s and Releve 1 statements at year end, preparing annual Workers Comp Returns and Provincial Health Annual Returns.

Job Requirements:


  • College diploma in the related discipline;
  • Active certified member of the CPA, Payroll designation preferred;
  • Experience with processing payroll across Canada including the Province of Quebec;
  • Bilingual (English and French) will be considered an asset;
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required;
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently;
  • Exceptional organizational and problemsolving skills;
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
