Job Summary:


We are a family owned and operated catering and retail business, located at the first floor of Fenwick building in Halifax.

As a Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. We are looking for someone with proven management experience in the hospitality industry and a friendly, outgoing personality.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations of the restaurant;
  • Recruit staff and oversee staff training;
  • Set staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency;
  • Plan and administer staffing and coordinate employee performance appraisal programs;
  • Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices to help to achieve restaurant financial goals and maximize financial success;
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed;
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve customer complaints to ensure exceptional customer service is delivered;
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards and the safety and healthy standards are always adhered;
  • Manage bookings for events, performances, and private functions;
  • Collaborate with the team to continuously improve service quality and customer satisfaction.

Employment Requirements:


  • Completion of university degree or college diploma or equivalent in related discipline;
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in the hospitality industry;
  • Team management, delegation and issue resolution skills and the ability to multitask;
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and highvolume environment;
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities;
  • Flexible availability required (day, evening, weekend);
  • Work experience in Chinese restaurant is desired.
