    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    The Manoir Fontainebleau residence is located in Blainville, on the edge of Boulevard des Châteaux. It is the gateway to the prestigious Fontainebleau residential neighbourhood. We are currently seeking one or more empathetic and caring Resident Care Attendants. This is a permanent, full-time position, between 24 and 32 hours per week, with day shifts (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), evening shifts (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), or night shifts (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), and one weekend out of two. The successful candidate must be available to work day, evening, and night shifts as needed. Salary: $21.27/hour The successful candidate will occasionally be required to perform housekeeping and dining room duties. The candidate must hold a government-recognized certification, a 16-hour CPR certification, and the PDSB (Principles of Safe Patient Handling) certification from the ASSTSAS (Association of Social Workers of the South).

    ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • All other related tasks
    • Perform some household and dining room service tasks.

    Health Care

    • Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
    • Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
    • Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
    • In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
    • Proactively assist and support the residents
    • Respond to all emergency situations
    • While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
    • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
    • PAB diploma issued by a government body
    • Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
    • PDSB training
