Disaster Recovery Data Governance Specialist


What is the opportunity?

What will you do?

  • Learn the DR tools and information to an expert level
  • Ensure new information is captured as accurate and reportable data
  • Perform regular data integrity checks and monitor for any irregularities
  • Produce internal reports consistent with internal audit and continuous monitoring efforts
  • Align with evolving requirements from audit/regulators for more detailed and comprehensive reporting
  • Monitor to identify any data gaps or opportunities to improve data integrity within the DR management system/tool(s)
  • Support ongoing monitoring/updates required for the disaster recovery system (ServiceNow BCM module)
  • Monitor external system upgrades/outages that may affect DR activities/exercises to avoid conflicts
  • Manage the DR knowledge base to ensure currency and coverage of key procedures

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 5+ years of experience in the financial industry or another heavily regulated industry
  • Undergraduate university degree with a focus in business or technology
  • Strong understanding of the data lifecycle, including a strong focus on data governance
  • Experience using ServiceNow, Confluence
  • Track record of collaborating effectively with multiple groups and teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Disaster Recovery concepts and principles
  • Experience using Tableau and Jira
