    Department: Converting/Slitting

    Reports to: Production Supervisor

    Position Overview


    The Packer plays a key role in supporting production by efficiently packaging finished tape products for shipment. This position ensures that all packaged goods meet quality standards and production timelines while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. As a frontline contributor, the Packer helps minimize downtime and supports smooth operations by identifying product defects, monitoring equipment, and collaborating with team members across departments.

    Principle Accountabilities

    • Set up film and packaging equipment for production runs
    • Monitor machines to ensure proper operation and product quality
    • Remove finished products from conveyors and pack into containers
    • Identify, mark, and report defective products
    • Assist with changeovers, blade changes, core handling, and box stamping
    • Support operators and lead hands to meet production, safety, and quality goals
    • Help lift shafts and handle materials as needed
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
    • Follow manufacturing and inspection procedures
    • Report equipment or quality issues to supervisors and support teams
    • Participate in plant-wide cleaning, including racking and shared spaces
    • Perform cycle counts and assist in training new employees
    • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications & Work Conditions

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Ability to read and follow work instructions and machine setup manuals.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
    • Familiarity with production procedures and safety regulations.
    • Standing for extended periods.
    • Rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
    • Fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
    • Repetitive tasks involving lifting, moving, and manipulating materials up to 55 lbs.
    • Consistent attendance and punctuality required.
