Description

Ground Electrical Contractors is looking for a hard-working & dynamic
1st year electrician apprentice to join our team. Our electricians work on new residential, commercial, and renovation construction projects in Edmonton and the surrounding areas.

Have a positive attitude & willingness to learn
Have a basic knowledge of electrical systems

Responsibilities include:

Assisting in the journeyman electrician in installations for residential, and commercial electrical projects & service calls.
Assisting in the installation of power distribution equipment, lights, switches, ballasts and related equipment
Able to work with flexible and EMT conduit, including all cabling
Ensuring job sites remain clean, organized, and safe.
Keeping materials/tools organized in work vehicles and onsite
Participate in site visits, safety meetings & project walkthroughs.

Skills & Experience

02 years or experience in residential and/or commercial electrical
1year apprenticeship schooling is an asset

Job Requirements

Must provide their own tools, including (but not limited to): basic hand tools, tool pouch, and cordless drill.
Drivers Licence (minimum Class 5 GDL)
This position requires working with stepladders, extension ladders, and scissors/boom lifts.
Monday
Friday (occasional weekends)
