    Start Date: ASAP

    Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the Dufferin Concrete/Ontario Redimix fleet of heavy duty trucks. This includes use of leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns, ordering required parts, removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components, as well as performing maintenance schedules. Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps and motors, and air brake systems are required.

    The key customers are the drivers and equipment operators who use these trucks and heavy equipment to perform their work.

    This is an afternoon shift

    Educational & Experience Criteria:

    • The ideal candidate will hold a 310T Mechanic License, or be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice.
    • Working on all systems of the ready mix truck, including engines, hydraulic pumps, motors and air brake systems, no two days will be the same.
    • There will be some travel to other Dufferin Concrete plants so a valid driver's license is required.
    • Your strong interpersonal skills and safety first approach will be a key to success in the role.
