What will you do?

Excel & Y, Lundgren & Young is looking for a Personal Lines House Account Broker who is a bright, talented, customer service minded professional who has a passion for the insurance industry and wants to work in an energetic, positive environment while providing exceptional service to customers first and foremost.

This role is expected to represent Excel & Y Insurance by promoting and maintaining strong employee morale and the culture, setting high expectations for performance and adhere to company values.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and practice Lundgren & Young corporate policies and procedures.
• Uphold and exemplify Lundgren & Young values.
• Follow Best Practices to achieve operational excellence.
• Build close working relationships with peers.
• Be a trusted advisor, offer advice on all areas of personal lines insurance including home, auto, umbrella, recreational vehicles, travel, etc.
• Ensure retention goals are met by delivering exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all client communications.
• Collaborate with Sales Manager to develop and execute branch and individual goals.
• Participate in continuing education programs, inhouse training and courses on both insurance and sales.

Required Qualifications

• Level 1 or 2 General Insurance Broker License (AIC).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in personal lines insurance.
• Experience with Office 36
• Exceptional customer services skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to work independently yet thrive as a part of a team environment.
• Proven negotiation and relationship building skills.
• Experience in Power Broker.
• Applied Rating Systems.
• Level 2 General Insurance License.
• Working towards CAIB or CIP Designations.
