About Our Opportunity
Under the general supervision of the Income Review Supervisor, the Income Review Clerk is responsible for the administration of public housing and special housing programs.
Primary Accountabilities
- Monitor the delivery of lease update packages and lease renewal reminders prior to the lease expiry date.
- Create and maintain a followup system to ensure the timely and complete return of income documentation for rent adjustment purposes and other deadlines.
- Prepare correspondence to tenants regarding rent calculations, lease renewals, abatements, or adjustments.
- Process tenant transfers and all applicable data entry.
- Process all lease renewals and midterm adjustments, abatements, transfers, and movein rent calculations in a timely manner to generate revenue in accordance with Chapter 14, 16, and 17 policy manual.
- Setup electronic funds for new Move-In's.
- Process vacate files and complete deposit accounting.
- Identify and analyze income documentation and family compositions for accuracy and completeness.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Business administration program in bookkeeping or accounting, plus three years' related experience.
- Strong keyboarding skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent knowledge of office procedures and practices are required to maintain accurate and secure files, track and followup information/report requests and manage petty cash.
Assets
- Experience in Yardi Property Management software.
- Good knowledge of NSPHA policies, procedures and practices is required to respond accurately to inquiries from internal or external sources, applicants, and tenants.
