About Our Opportunity


Under the general supervision of the Income Review Supervisor, the Income Review Clerk is responsible for the administration of public housing and special housing programs.

The incumbent processes lease renewals, rent calculations and mid-term adjustments to maximize revenue for NSPHA - Metropolitan District.


Primary Accountabilities

  • Monitor the delivery of lease update packages and lease renewal reminders prior to the lease expiry date.
  • Create and maintain a followup system to ensure the timely and complete return of income documentation for rent adjustment purposes and other deadlines.
  • Prepare correspondence to tenants regarding rent calculations, lease renewals, abatements, or adjustments.
  • Process tenant transfers and all applicable data entry.
  • Process all lease renewals and midterm adjustments, abatements, transfers, and movein rent calculations in a timely manner to generate revenue in accordance with Chapter 14, 16, and 17 policy manual.
  • Setup electronic funds for new Move-In's.
  • Process vacate files and complete deposit accounting.
  • Identify and analyze income documentation and family compositions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Business administration program in bookkeeping or accounting, plus three years' related experience.
  • Strong keyboarding skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent knowledge of office procedures and practices are required to maintain accurate and secure files, track and followup information/report requests and manage petty cash.

Assets

  • Experience in Yardi Property Management software.
  • Good knowledge of NSPHA policies, procedures and practices is required to respond accurately to inquiries from internal or external sources, applicants, and tenants.
