In compliance with Board policies and procedures responsible for providing administrative support to recruitment and retention related activities of the Board in accordance with collective agreements, guidelines and legislative requirements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
To monitor and support the Board's recruitment and selection processes, update interview results and ensure that applicant databases are current.
To coordinate, schedule and monitor interviews, practicums and reference checks, as required.
To coordinate and participate in orientation days, career fairs, open houses and recognition and retention initiatives.
To create and post internal and external job vacancies on Board maintained sites and external mediums, as required.
To coordinate and facilitate new employee sign up and orientation sessions.
To facilitate the sign-up and collection of new employee documentation and to monitor legislated and Board-required documentation for teaching and support staff.
To perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
A two-year college diploma in human resources management or a related discipline, or equivalent, as approved by the Board, is required.
Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal and computer skills are required.
Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals and groups both within and outside the Board is required.
