Reporting to the Owner and Gallery Manager, the art consultant is responsible for gallery administrative duties, sales, marketing and some development activities, including the coordination of gallery events and shows.

The art consultant is often the gallery's first liaison with the general public and provides support to the owner and gallery manager.

• Liaise with artist, and clients regarding sales, commissions and artwork deliveries.
• Maintains office organizational systems and procedures
• Assist with inventory, artist portfolios, social media and gallery setting
• Assist with installation of artworks in gallery and on site (client's home, commercial venues)
• Process sales
• Outgoing and friendly, willingness to approach everyone who enters the gallery, to procure business/sales opportunities
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Detail oriented
• Selfstarter, but able to take direction and complete tasks as requested
• Proficiency in Mac OS X, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Publisher, Word), Word Press website management and a willingness to learn other software; general knowledge of computers and networking a plus
• Client management experience required, can work autonomously to build excellent client and artist relations
• Extensive Sales (preferably of high end products) and marketing experience required
• Previous experience in a commercial art gallery setting preferred but not required
• Interest/knowledge of interior design considered an asset

• Valid 'G' license and access to a vehicle.

• Weekend availability
