With the ever increasing demand for support and service in the auto industry, our
Ottawa Mini location is looking for
a General Manager to join the team.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible and accountable for overseeing all operational aspects of a very niche brand dealership.
  • Conducting regular department and team meetings, reviewing and setting team and individual goals and department performance and strategies
  • Ensuring that the monthly department targets and gross profit objectives are achieved or surpassed.
  • Analyzing departmental operations with department managers and revising as necessary for maximum profitability.
  • Handling customer complaints in a timely manner, and ensuring that the same exceptional customer experience provided to outside customers is also being provided to internal dealership customers.
  • Aligning dealership and department goals with manufacturer requirements, strategies and targets.
  • Preparing and administering monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts and operating budgets for the dealership, and developing plans for each department to meet them.
  • Analyzing sales, expenses and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
  • Providing support for the department managers and their teams, as necessary.
  • Together with department managers, creating and implementing fixed and variable side sales efforts/promotions, including maintaining relationships with existing customers.
  • Enhancing the company's reputation by developing, enforcing and monitoring guidelines for working with customers to ensure they leave the dealership satisfied.
  • Continuing to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturers' publications.
  • Understanding, keeping abreast of, and complying with federal, provincial and local regulations that may affect the dealership

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary diploma or degree and/or relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a management role with a proven record of increase in customer retention, bottom line, and coaching centered people leadership skills.
  • Valid OMVIC license in good standing.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Detail and process oriented with strong problem solving, analytical and numerical skills.

  • Experience and willingness to cultivate strong working relationships with direct and indirect reports, interdepartmental managers and larger dealer groups to collaborate and support the entire business.
  • Highly effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to work with customers, colleagues and numerous outside suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional work ethic, takes pride in providing exceptional customer centered service, always acting with integrity and with the best interests of the company in mind.
  • Strong understanding of fixed and variable department principles, methods, practices and techniques.

Job Types:

Salary:
$160,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
