Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age;
- Successful completion of Ski Binding Certification, within 1 month of date of hire (training to be provided upon employment);
- Provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (must be current within one year);
- Current Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR is considered an asset;

Position Summary
Responsible for overseeing the ROC rental shop operation, including; indirect supervision of Rental Shop Attendants, rental sales, education, fitting, inspections and repair/maintenance of all ski and snowboard rental equipment.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates a high level of customer service and provides this service on the front-line of operation and does so in an efficient, courteous and respectful manner;
Daily operation of the rental shop, including lift tickets, ski and snowboard equipment rental sales & inquires;
Supports guests with safe and proper ski and snowboard equipment fittings and ensures that all equipment is returned and inspected for future use;
Accurate completion of liability waivers, ski and snowboard rental forms as well as securing and returning of security/damage deposit;
Communicate with clients and public regarding snow school lesson opportunities and accident prevention relative to the alpine responsibility code;
Adheres and implements all ski binding certification standards and any additional technical/safety standards provided by ski and snowboard manufacturers of the rental equipment in inventory.
Conducts regular maintenance of all ski and snowboard rental equipment as needed (i.e. waxing, sharpening, repairs, retirement, etc.), inspects equipment and tools before and after each usage and reports any safety concerns or recommendation for replacement to the Recreation Services Supervisor or designate.
Assists with planning and facilitation of staff training sessions for all rental shop attendants in co-operation with the Recreation Services Supervisor or designate.
Ensures that incident procedures are strictly adhered to at all times and reviews all accident/incident reports involving rented ski and snowboard equipment with Ski Patrol and Recreation Services Supervisor to determine if caused by equipment failure, improper usage, etc.
Responsible for ski and snowboard rental shop asset management and inventory (i.e. inspecting, updating, monitoring and decommissioning of existing equipment as well as assigning asset numbers and information to new equipment);
Responsible for the recording, maintenance and safe keeping of risk management documentation such as waiver release forms, liability forms, safety checklists, pre-use inspections, work orders, maintenance and repair reports, etc.
Processes all point of sale purchases, and handles cash, credit and debit transactions in an accurate manner and balances daily sales to align with computer reports;
Follows all specified cash handling procedures including; float reporting, cash reconciliation, and cash depositing;
Supports the delivery of site-specific events as required/requested;
Maintains working area to ensure it is clean and presentable at all times;
Performs administrative tasks to support the program as assigned by the Recreation Services Supervisor or designate.
