Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze drawings and specifications
- Must be able to understand and read specifications and drawings for projects
- Understand contractual terms and conditions
- Provide quality takeoffs from drawings and specifications
- Distribution of bid documents to suppliers
- Assist with estimates and proposals
- Prepare and review tender closing documents
- Capable of visiting site to initiate quotes
- Issue RFI/RFQ
- Understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Understand reading and interpretation of construction drawings and specifications
- Experience and familiarity with construction industry
- Experience working with PDF drawings, programs, etc.
- Clear and fluent knowledge of computers and experience working with spreadsheets
- Related construction experience is an asset
- Construction estimating: Min. 2 years
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work in an office environment
Salary:
From $45,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON L4X 1K1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
