Purpose of the job:


The Project Manager will actively contribute to the definition of the projects' strategies and provides direction and support to the project teams in order to meet project objectives and deliverables.

The project manager is responsible for all project management activities and related documents pertaining to the portfolio of projects assigned.

These include a variety of operations projects and sub-projects. The project manager will also be responsible to develop a global master list of operations projects.

Finally, the project manager will also be responsible to develop project management tools for the organization and implement project management methodology.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure projects and project teams are properly set up and that team roles and responsibilities are clear.
  • Work together with the multifunctional experts to define project strategy, scopes, goals, risks and deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain functionally integrated project schedules and critical path to enable accurate project management and ensure alignment.
  • Create and update project management tools (charter, plan, timeline, budget, etc.).
  • Facilitate project team meetings, crossfunctional communication and decision making, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Follow up and communicates with team members regarding project status, agreements and action items.
  • Ensure adequate communication between various teams and various team members as well as upper management
  • Communicate, document, and archive project team activities, project progression and decisions
  • Act as a primary contact for project related information.
  • Develop, organize and maintain a database of all relevant documentation for each project.
  • Identify potential risks and elaborate mitigation plans and/or escalates issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the deployment and extensive use of project management and engineering best practices as well as risk assessments.
  • Develop a global master list of all operation projects along with their status and key information.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Management

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Chemical / Mechanical / Biochemical / Industrial Engineering or a science degree in Chemistry / Biochemistry or related fields.
  • PMP certification definitely an asset
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar position
  • A minimum of 5 experience in the in the pharmaceutical industry.
