Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Team Member - Fresh Flowers - United Floral Inc
We are a floral wholesale business supplying retail florists and other floral businesses across Western Canada and Washington state.

We have a part-time role opportunity for a Shipping/Receiving team member who would support in general warehouse operations, including order picking, verification, and maintenance.

Typical operating days will consist of a range of activities from unloading vehicles, conducting receiving and recording of shipments, sorting products according to customer orders and inventory allocations, quality control of fragile and perishable products, as well as packaging and preparation of outgoing shipments.

This role will also include general warehouse responsibilities including order picking, verification, and maintaining of operational workspaces.

Work Schedules:
(Permanent, Part-time)

Saturday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
OR 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Sunday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Primary Duties:

Duties consistent with the position of shipping/receiving/warehouse operations include, but not limited to:

Unloading of shipments from various vehicles and delivery methods.
Accurate receiving of shipments and sorting of inventory and customer orders.
Careful handling of fragile, perishable products, as well as quality control.
Packaging, organizing, and palletization of outgoing shipments.
General warehouse duties including but not limited to order picking, order verification, and maintenance of common work areas.

Requirements:

Must be able to work in temperaturecontrolled coolers as low as 4 degrees Celsius.
Must be physically fit and able to safely lift, pull, and push up to and including 40lbs.

This will include full cases of product and buckets of water containing product.

Must demonstrate care in handling various fragile and perishable products.
Must be punctual, selfmotivated, and able to work to a high degree of accuracy either independently or with other team members.
Must always observe safety protocols on site.
Must maintain approachability and courteous conduct with customers and fellow staff.
High capability in demonstrating problemsolving and proactive communication.
High capability in multitasking and working under pressure to meet operational deadlines.
Excellent English language skills, both written and oral.
Warehouse experience is an asset.
Floral knowledge is an asset.
Computer software literacy is an asset (including Microsoft Office Suite and internally developed tools).

Wage:
$18.00/hour

If looking for full-time work, our sister company, United Flower Growers Cooperative Association (UFG), is also seeking part-time warehouse distribution staff for Monday/Tuesday/Thursdays from 6-10AM.
