Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented

Inventory Management Specialist to join our Operations team at ORBCOMM. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory projections/forecasts, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's growth and success by implementing effective inventory management strategies.

Responsibilities:

Utilizing a datadriven approach, develop and implement inventory control procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify and address any discrepancies or shortages.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including purchasing, logistics, and production, to ensure seamless inventory management and supply chain operations.
Optimize inventory turnover by analyzing historical data, forecasting demand, and implementing replenishment strategies.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management efficiency and reduce costs.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to track incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure timely delivery of inventory items.
Generate/analyze reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and performance metrics for management review.
Utilize internal/external software and tools (ERP, Salesforce, Agile PLM) to streamline processes and maintain realtime inventory visibility.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a fastpaced environment.
Proficient in using inventory management software and tools, specifically ERP systems (J.D. Edwards Experience is a plus).
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in recording and reporting inventory data.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with crossfunctional teams.
Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance related to inventory management.
