Position Summary:

Responsibilities:


  • Support effective business decisionmaking by providing accurate financial reporting, margin analytics, cost management initiatives, and various other analytics.
  • Interpret and communicate financial information to nonfinancial peers, ensuring understanding and facilitating informed decisionmaking.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of client billings and collections, fostering strong relationships with clients.
  • Prepare and maintain annual budgets, as well as quarterly and weekly forecasting, to ensure efficient financial management.
  • Take responsibility for client audits and contract analysis, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Finance Canada on projects and assignments, including process improvements and standardization efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with standard and local operating procedures, providing recommendations and implementing internal controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage a regional administrative team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting growth and development.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to travel 2530% of the time.

Requirements:


  • Possess an Accounting Designation (CA, CMA, CGA) to showcase your expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Have 10+ years of progressive experience in the industrial or commercial sector, demonstrating your deep understanding of the industry.
  • Exhibit strong business acumen and a willingness to dive into the details, enabling you to make informed decisions.
  • Understand and adhere to contractual obligations, ensuring compliance and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Have a full understanding of project
    based accounting, enabling you to effectively manage financial aspects of projects.
  • Utilize your experience with analytics and interpretation to drive business and process improvement recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and inspire others to embrace change and adapt to new processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate financial initiatives to nonfinancial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and managerial experience, inspiring and guiding your team to success.
  • Possess effective and respectful communication skills, enabling you to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Showcase strong computer/systems skills, including advanced Excel proficiency and experience with system transition/integration (asset).
  • Have extensive knowledge of commodity tax and payroll rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
