Kichton Contracting Ltd (KCL) has been in business since 1963 and is based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. KCL is classified as a medium sized civil earthworks contractor. Our work ranges from residential earthworks, commercial site development to industrial projects.

Our services include grading design for all types of new commercial and industrial sites along with retrofitting existing sites to accommodate new site development.

Responsible for the following:

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoicing to contract requirements
• Maintain job files and ensure contract and all change orders are fully invoiced
• Respond to customer inquiries, maintaining good customer relations
• Work with PM's to research and resolve issues and external customers
• Follow up on collection calls on all outstanding invoices over 45 days
• Maintain detailed log on collections and review monthly with PM's and supervisors
• Bank deposits for all related companies
• Accurately record all customer payments in the system
• Notify AP when payments come in for jobs so funds can be released to vendors.
• Respond to audit inquiries in a timely manner.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Various other duties as requested by the Controller.

Competencies Required:

• Understanding of accounting principals
• Customer Service orientation
• Communication skills written and verbal.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Managing deadlines

Qualifications:

• Strong Excel and Word Skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience with Accounting Software preferably Eclipse
• Minimum 13 years experience in Accounts Receivable
• Construction background and jobrelated invoicing an asset
• Experience with contracts and billing accordingly
• Familiar with intercompany transactions
