Your Opportunity
- Review and implement strategies to manage client's business needs and mitigate risks
- Advise clients and employees on changes in immigration laws, regulations, and impacts
- Research statutes and case law
- Coordinate matters between US, Canadian and Provincial officials, third parties, applicants, and employers
- Supervise, train, and mentor paralegals and caseworkers
- You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration
- You understand your clients' industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high quality work
- You identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clients
- You share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains, and attracts talent
- You actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace
- You grow your expertise through learning and professional development
- You have 3+ years of relevant immigration practice experience
- You are a member in good standing of a US and or Canadian Bar
- You have strong research and writing skills and are adept at preparing written correspondence
- You are able to work independently and are passionate about client service
- You are detail oriented and well organized
- You have a strong work ethic fueled by a desire to excel and achieve
- You are able to multitask and effectively handle competing priorities
- You are able to excel in a fastpaced environment
- You have excellent motivation to embrace technology trends and IT solutions designed to enhance the client experience
- You have an enthusiasm to manage workflow and processes
