    Arcadis' Intelligence practice specializes in unique and cutting-edge transportation technology projects for agencies worldwide. We are seeking talented individuals with a keen interest in transportation and technology to join our Intelligent Transportation and Tolling Systems teams. As part of these teams, you will assist both public and private entities in planning, designing, procuring, deploying, and utilizing technologies and systems for tolling, traffic operations, traveller information, transit, and other transportation functions. Examples of projects we typically undertake include electronic payment systems for tolling and transit, ITS systems for incident detection and management, data analysis for performance monitoring and operational improvement, and mobile apps for payment, trip planning, and travel information.

    Job Description

    As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our team, facilitating the delivery of software products developed by our software development teams to our clients. We are looking for quick learners who are well-organized and capable of contributing across the full lifecycle of software delivery.

    Working collaboratively with other analysts, subject matter experts and software development team members, job responsibilities include:

  • Project Pursuits & Marketing Support Assist with request for proposal (RFP) reviews and support proposal preparation to pursue new work.Support the preparation of materials highlighting Arcadis services and product features for potential clients and partners.
  • System Delivery: Project ManagementAssist in project management activities such as scheduling, progress reporting, budget estimates/updates, and liaison with the client team.Plans, Requirements & DesignProvide comprehensive support to clients across business, functional, financial, and technical processes.Participate in requirements and design meetings with clients.Execute, compile, and manage project documentation and deliverables, that may include market/technical/product analysis, workflow diagrams, schedules, cost estimates, plans, test cases, and user documentation, in alignment with project directives.Conduct analysis, review, and design of system features as per the requests from assigned clients.TestingConduct internal end-user testing of in-development software.Coordinate issue resolution with software teams.Support client software demos and formal testing required for software acceptance.TrainingConduct end-user training sessions.Product LaunchSupport client staff with product launch by providing guidance while client staff start using the software with their customers.
  • System Support / Post System Launch: Respond to customer questions on software features and functionality.Coordinate resolution of any client issues raised with software development teams.Prepare final system delivery deliverables such as user manuals, standard operating procedures, and final design documents.Support preparation of monthly system performance reporting.Participate in monthly meeting with clients.Support preparation of change orders based on client requests for system changes or enhancements.
  • Qualifications

  • Experience of 0-5 years with the design, delivery, and/or maintaining of software systems
  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a similar field
  • Ability to coordinate with other subject matter experts, software development and delivery teams, project managers and clients.
  • Intelligent Transportation, Communications, Tolling, or Security systems knowledge is an asset
  • Outstanding teamwork, written and communications skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • May travel % of time to project locations for client-facing assignments.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to travel between US and Canada with standard temporary work permits arranged and paid for by Arcadis (e.g. TN Visa).
