As the
Professional Practice Leader, you will work in collaboration with professional practice team members, the organizations leadership team, credentialed staff, and inter-professional staff to coordinate, lead, and support the organizational development of education supporting the strategic vision and direction of GBGH.


While engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders, in this role you will develop and implement programs to ensure the provision of safe, quality patient care and will assist in creating inter professional practice environments that foster creativity, growth, professional judgment, and best practice standards.


Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A Registered Nurse designation in good standing with a BScN, a Master Degree preferred.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • A diverse clinical nursing background
  • A Minimum 5 years' experience in an acute care setting
  • A minimum of 35 years' clinical educator/teaching experience
  • Experience and demonstrated clinical proficiency required
  • Experience with clinical and educational program development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Experience and/or expertise in the care and management of special populations: mental health, geriatrics, etc.
  • Experience with continuous quality improvement methods
  • Fluency in both English and French an asset
